This project was shot entirely in an LED volume using Unreal Engine for in-camera VFX.
This approach plays nicely into the director's vision of the main character traversing through various worlds.

My responsibilities on this project were two-fold:
I was tasked with preparing the Unreal Engine environments for production. This included optimizing and testing the scenes for the LED volume during pre-production, as well as altering the scenes according to the director's vision.

Additionally the director wanted some extreme wide shots of the desert bridge environment, which were impossible to capture on the LED volume. This meant that these shots had to be done in CG.
The model for the main character is a photogrammetry scan done on-set. The model for the male character is a Metahuman model. The photogrammetry model is quite usable for such a wide shot. The character animation was done in Blender, and the portal is a Niagara particle system inside of Unreal Engine. The shots were rendered out from Unreal Engine and some additional post-processing was done in Fusion.
